The archive of the Wiener Werkstätte in the MAK contains numerous, previously unpublished, artistically sophisticated documents on the design and production of lace and embroidery from the period 1906 to 1930. Together with objects preserved in the museum, sketches and designs of important artists such as Josef Hoffmann and Dagobert Peche or Maria Likarz-Strauss and Mathilde Flögl, but also blueprints, lace patterns, sample portfolios and historical photographs the book provides an authentic picture of this little-known area of ​​the Wiener Werkstätte.
